Vind

developed by Forgotten Key  |  Platform: Windows

“A game about helping people, getting to know both characters and the world they reside in, and having an amazing adventurous journey doing so.”

“…we wanted to move on from AER to build a new world and structure of stories.  Even if it shares similarities with AER, Vind is not a sequel in any way but its own world with its own stories and quirks.”

“Everything made here is or was very much WIP and we used it mainly to showcase the project to publishers and investors. Goal was to develop further, but future is unclear for the project at the moment.”

This is one of two games that were in development at Forgotten Key before they were forced to shut their doors (the other game being Down the Well).  They kindly decided to release demos for both of them on itch.io so you have a chance to see what they were working on.  You can read about them closing down in their blog post here.  Sad to see them go (they previously made AER) but hopefully everyone lands on their feet. :-)

Vane

developed by Friend & Foe Games  |  Platform: PS4

“Set out on an epic story of transformation, where shifting between the perspectives of a bird and a child will be key to unravel the land’s mysteries and create a path forward through the barren landscape. As you do so, the remnants of the world react to your passage, evolving and building into something altogether different.”

Just gnoming around town…

developed by the_tubby1  |  Platforms: TBA

This is super early in development and is as yet unnamed, but the little details like the physics on the little pig backpack and the inflation of the hat while gliding already make it quite charming.  It is being developed in the Unreal engine and is still too far out to have a release date.  You can follow progress of the game on the developer’s twitter below.
