Category: Well Designed Itch.io Game Pages

A collection of itch.io game pages that you can use for design inspiration. I collected a lot of them from this page on itch.io. I apologize for the jittery gifs, my computer was not built for recording. The gifs don’t show everything well, so if you like the look of something please visit the full game page (links in game title).

I’ll keep adding as I find them. If you have any suggestions, tweet @screenshotdaily.

Bit Pit

Good use of colours and a neat page border.

REAP

Looks exactly like the game.  The control mapping icons are really well done.  Could do with video/gifs of gameplay.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

The game is playable in the browser.  The colours and background of the page make it feel like the page is an extension of the game.

Tanks of Freedom

Unique and fitting art for the description, border, and arrangement of screenshots/gifs.  Description gets to the point.

i (small title name so click here)

Impactful colours and banner, though it’s  a bit too large.  I don’t usually like artsy descriptions but this one for some reason felt right.  Nice header fonts.

Octopus City Blues

Great banner, really weird combination of font colours which fits the game well and is memorable, but also readable.

[gfycat data_id="MilkyHeartfeltAlleycat"]

Planetarium

Simple aesthetic with a bunch of blended gifs throughout.

[gfycat data_id="OfficialAptImpala"]

Sunrose

An impactful banner (though too large I think), nice colours.

[gfycat data_id="AlarmingInexperiencedAmericanlobster"]

Espionage

Great aesthetic that fits the game, but not a very helpful description.  It could also use some gameplay gifs/video.

[gfycat data_id="DiligentAmbitiousAmericanratsnake"]

Shark Lake Fisherman

A very simple page with a blended gif that shows off the gameplay well.

[gfycat data_id="RipeDiligentCleanerwrasse"]

Dr. Langeskov

Good title font, background, overall colours, and readability.  Description is a bit weird, but fits the game.

[gfycat data_id="FlawlessDelectableCaimanlizard"]

Frail Shells

Nifty gif for the title that blends into the rest of the page.  All the info as soon as you enter (though admittedly info is sparse).

[gfycat data_id="DigitalUnnaturalGrub"]

PRiO

Page really fits the theme of the game with nice colourful page breaks.

[gfycat data_id="CoolSelfishAmericanavocet"]

Sandstorm

Overall a well designed page that feels very much like the game itself; nice fonts, blended gifs, mysterious text etc.

[gfycat data_id="EvilCarefreeHorse"]

Steredenn

Just a very functional page.  Straight to the point description, video above the fold.  Though the banner could be a bit smaller.

[gfycat data_id="RegalThickAmericanalligator"]

Dungeon Souls

Really I just like the tiled background with the borders.  I find it can go a long way to making the page look fitting to the game as well as pleasing to the eye.

[gfycat data_id="ExcitableImpassionedBluebottlejellyfish"]

Haemo

Just a really simple minimalist design.

[gfycat data_id="FakePlushHound"]

Kuru-kuru! Kuru!

Animated side borders that meld into the game window in the center of the page.  (jitters caused by recording on a potato laptop)
