I noticed the Unravel website had some really nice videos of Yarny just idling in the background , so I decided to make them into gifs and share them here (whoever made the videos did most of the work, I just shortened them to be bite sized). Love the animations, they seem so “human”. If you’d like to see more of Unravel I made a gameplay post here.

Unravel
developed by Coldwood Interactive | Platforms: Windows, Xbox One, PS4
“Unravel introduces Yarny, a new lovable character made from a single thread of yarn, who embarks on a seemingly larger than life journey through the breath-taking environments of Northern Scandinavia.”
“Swing over a tree gap or hitch a ride on a flying kite, no feat is too big. Along the way, witness Yarny unlock a heartfelt story re-uniting a family’s lost loved ones. Told completely without words, Yarny is the bond that ties everything together.”
Unravel releases tomorrow! If you want to see some cute idle animations for Yarny I made a separate post here.

“An infantry based first person shooter with an emphasis on raw skill. No grinding, no ‘exosuits’, just you and your skill as a player.”
It might be nostalgia but I think I miss this type of old school shooter. I’ve been longing for the WW2 theme, but going full throwback to a time without kill streaks or vehicles sounds pretty interesting. It is multiplayer only however (which is fine by me). It’s already shot past its Kickstarter goal with over 3 weeks to go, you can check it out below.

Nessa is an orphan from the mainland, who has run away to the island searching for her past and her identity. Demelza is a video game-obsessed islander searching for the truth using clues from her favorite game.”

A stylized procedurally generated dungeon crawling RPG. There seems to be a lot of ways to interact with the various traps and enemies which could be quite fun, though maybe not so much for the skeletons. It’s scheduled to release on Steam late in 2016.

Path to the Sky just released on Steam Early Access today. Dek has been active in the /r/gamedev community for a long time, and seeing the game grow from the first gif that I remember (of wavy grass/plants) has been pretty cool. So, congrats. :)

A multi-perspective puzzle game. Each level is a 3D world that you need to navigate using various 2D (and sometimes 3D) camera angles. Great to see the puzzle mechanic of Fez taken even further.

An open world multiplayer sailing sandbox. You can explore the Caribbean which has been recreated with all the various ports, but battles are instanced in order to support up to 50 players at a time. It seems to have a lot of naval realism, so if you’re in to realistic sailing physics this might be right up your alley.
“Realistic sailing – Advanced wind and physics model provides for realistic portrayal of ship’s performance in the age of sail. Yard angles, ship angle to wind, fittings and ship condition affects speeds and turning rates. Correct tacking, boxhauling, clubhauling and other elements of the age of sail sailing are possible. Hidden ship characteristics will allow to gradually uncover potential of the vessel – every ship in game will be unique.”
“Historical gunnery – Realistic ballistics and cannon performance of the period. Every cannonball is tracked in the air and after it hits the target. One shot can hit the stern, damage the rudder, then hit the cannon carriage, injure crew, ricochet from the floor and hit the opposite side. Listing and wind affects the shooting distance and will require change of tactics.”
