A procedurally generated endless platformer. Follow the star, avoid spikes, and don’t fall in the endless pit to see how far you can reach. I managed to get to 60. >.<
An isometric action RPG. Basically, it’s a sci-fi Diablo 2 with giant robots. O.O Currently in development for PC (and has been off and on for five years), no release date except “when it’s done”.
An exploration game set in a world with 10 seconds left to live. Due to relativity, each play through lasts 10 minutes. Based on a Ludum Dare 27 entry, you can watch the trailer here.
“The song of life sounds different to every ear. The tempo unique to every mind.”
“Explore the remnants of a mysterious civilization on the brink of destruction. A melancholy soundtrack will accompany you on your journey, highlighting each location you visit with its own unique theme… culminating in a world-changing event. TIMEframe is a short, thoughtful experience you won’t soon forget.”
A retro space strategy inspired by a mix of BattleStar Galactica and FTL. I recommend reading through the Kickstarter as there seems to be quite a lot of depth mixed with tough managerial decisions. Currently in development for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
“Command a ragtag fleet of starships against an unbeatable enemy. You’ll be evacuating refugees, scrounging for resources, overcoming political treachery, and assembling your flock from one jump point to the next. Your goal is to lead what’s left of humanity out of reach from the unknown threat that pursues.”
A top down mission based space shooter, where you design your own ship that you are destined to lose.
“Build a ship, complete a mission and wave it goodbye when your crew defect to the other side. Then design a new ship to hunt down those mutinous traitors in an endless cycle of punishment and revenge. Don’t make that new design too good though, because odds are you’ll be fighting it pretty soon.”
Defect is currently in development for Windows and Mac, with a release on Linux, iPad, and Android tablets planned. You’ll be able to share your creations with your friends across all platforms. Two days left on the Kickstarter, and it’s almost reached its goal. :)
“A real-time, class-based strategy game, set in an open-world cyberpunk city. You command a group of 4 agents through rain-soaked, neon-lit streets, where the law is the will of mega-corporations. Use your agents to sneak, shoot, steal, and sabotage your way up the corporate ladder, and take control of the most powerful monopoly of all time.”
I really like the music in the teaser trailer. Satellite Reign is currently on Steam Early Access with pretty good reviews, and seems to get regular updates.
“A psychological horror game inspired by the developer’s actual battle with mental illness. In the game, you take on the role of Thomas who awakens from a terrible nightmare only to find that he is still dreaming.
“As he descends deeper through the layers of hellish dreamscapes, he must hide from horrifying apparitions and outrun his inner demons. He must discover which of the horrors he encounters are a manifestation of his own psychological state and figure out what reality will be when he finally wakes up.”
I really like the aesthetic of Neverending Nightmares, and the developer is currently running a Kickstarter (with a demo) for their next game, Devasted Dreams.
“A psychological horror game combining the two things that have scared me [the developer] the most – being an expectant parent and feeling totally vulnerable in a rural area of the Philippines without any electricity or running water.”

“It is a narrative focused game telling the story of Angel, a young woman who may or may not be expecting a child as she has to journey through twisted nightmares plagued by horrible monsters from Filipino folklore.”
An RPG card collection board game which combines fantasy and pop culture. Currently being developed for iOS and Android with a release date in late 2015.
“A realtime 3rd-person tactical shooter set in a cyberpunk-themed future. In the game, you deploy one or more agents on various missions and use a combination of combat and hacking to progress.”
In development as a premium (not free-to-play) game on the iPad, and built from the ground up with touch controls in mind. After release, the developers will consider releasing to other platforms if it makes sense. Release date: “when it’s done”.
I originally put these gifs together for a game called Dream Chaser which was an action runner featuring special characters with superpowers. However, the developers (Crayder Studios) have decided to change the direction of the game, and are now making Wishmere, which is a 4 player local co-op beat ‘em up (with time attack elements).
While that sounds great, I thought these scenes from Dream Chaser were really cool (and I had spent the time trying to Tumblerize them already >.<), so thought I would still share.
