EVERSPACE 2

“A fast-paced single-player spaceship shooter with deep exploration in space and on planets, tons of loot, RPG elements, mining, and crafting. Experience a thoughtful story, set in a vivid, handcrafted open world full of secrets, puzzles, and perils.

“Discover alien species, unveil mysteries, find hidden treasures, and defend your valuables against outlaw gangs. But don’t get cocky: there will be some high-risk/high-reward areas waiting for you where grabbing that ultra-special gear and getting out alive will require some serious piloting skills and all your talent for improvisation.”

Sunlight

“Traverse a harmonious hand painted forest in this first person hike. ☀️The trees guide you with gentle whispers, as you explore a philosophical story.”

I received a key to play an early version of this and if you would like to take a walk through the forest while the trees gently talk you through a short 30 to 40 minute story, then this is your jam. Definitely an experience to help your mind breathe.

Cloud Jumper

“A chill game about exploring the Sky. Take the wheel of a tiny flying tug boat and launch yourself through a beautiful pixel world, filled with floating islands, colourful characters and ancient secrets.

“For a thousand years the Infinite Lighthouse offered protection against the Storm; but now, its light has been snuffed out. Islands once connected are now isolated and lost. But you are a Cloud Jumper, gifted with the lost power to sail through the Storm. Jump across the Sky and help those in need; uncover ancient relics; craft creative recipes and enhance your Ship. Only by forging a path up to the Roof of the World can you relight our ancient protector and reconnect the people of the Sky.”

Most anticipated indie games of 2021

A quick fire journey through 31 of my most anticipated indie games coming in 2021. Actually Tchia doesn’t have a release date yet but the cute spider needed a flying partner. It was a bit of a monumental task narrowing it down to only these few as there is just a ton of cool stuff coming out. I will keep you up-to-date on when these release, as well as all the ones that didn’t make it into the list. :)

Music in the video is an OST sample by Christopher Larkin from Hollow Knight: Silksong.

You can find more info about the individual games and links for where to follow them below.

A quick speed run through the top indie games of 2020

I’ve never done an end of year list before as I couldn’t figure out how to do it in a way that fit with Octocurio’s short and sweet mantra. Then I thought well maybe you can actually just cram 30 games into a video that’s less than a minute and people might still like it before they go blind, so that’s what I did. Feedback is seriously appreciated, and stay tuned for the video on upcoming indie games in 2021.

I tried to pick games that stood out in some fashion and I think there’s quite a wide selection so hopefully you will find something you like! However, if that’s not enough you can visit the released tag which has about 150 curated indie games that released last year. There is a lot of great stuff in there that’s not included in the video above.

The music in the video is Poludnica (The Hard Part Is Over) by Merkfolk which is from the Yes, Your Grace OST.
