“A co-op action adventure game set in a beautifully hand drawn 3D world. You play as our two heroines, Nessa and Demelza. Nessa is an orphan from the mainland, who has run away to the island searching for her past and her identity. Demelza is a video game-obsessed islander searching for the truth using clues from her favorite game.”
Being created by a developer and an artist who also worked on Tearaway, LittleBigPlanet, and Ratchet & Clank.
A stylized procedurally generated dungeon crawling RPG. There seems to be a lot of ways to interact with the various traps and enemies which could be quite fun, though maybe not so much for the skeletons. It’s scheduled to release on Steam late in 2016.
“A roguelite platformer that lets you explore a beautiful world of flying islands with randomly generated caves, monsters and treasures. Climb your way to the top while combining items for unique combat effects each run and enjoy the mix of retro aesthetics and modern effects.”
Path to the Sky just released on Steam Early Access today. Dek has been active in the /r/gamedev community for a long time, and seeing the game grow from the first gif that I remember (of wavy grass/plants) has been pretty cool. So, congrats. :)
A multi-perspective puzzle game. Each level is a 3D world that you need to navigate using various 2D (and sometimes 3D) camera angles. Great to see the puzzle mechanic of Fez taken even further.
An open world multiplayer sailing sandbox. You can explore the Caribbean which has been recreated with all the various ports, but battles are instanced in order to support up to 50 players at a time. It seems to have a lot of naval realism, so if you’re in to realistic sailing physics this might be right up your alley.
“Realistic sailing – Advanced wind and physics model provides for realistic portrayal of ship’s performance in the age of sail. Yard angles, ship angle to wind, fittings and ship condition affects speeds and turning rates. Correct tacking, boxhauling, clubhauling and other elements of the age of sail sailing are possible. Hidden ship characteristics will allow to gradually uncover potential of the vessel – every ship in game will be unique.”
“Historical gunnery – Realistic ballistics and cannon performance of the period. Every cannonball is tracked in the air and after it hits the target. One shot can hit the stern, damage the rudder, then hit the cannon carriage, injure crew, ricochet from the floor and hit the opposite side. Listing and wind affects the shooting distance and will require change of tactics.”
“A handmade, 2D, exploration based, adventure game with a focus on story, character, and mystery.”
“Jenny LeClue is a coming of age tale. Sometimes funny, sometimes scary, always mysterious; it’s a story about finding our strengths, accepting our weaknesses, and the blurred lines between what is right and wrong.”
“This is a game about your choices and how they permanently affect the story. We want to deliver a rich narrative experience about relationships with delightful surprises and interactions. The story also deals with mature themes, complex characters, and an epic tangled mystery. We want you to help guide the direction of Jenny’s journey, within the game itself.”

“Mount and design your very own train with plenty of detailed equipment, hire a loyal, bold and selfless crew and travel through the dangerous Wild West. Find your way by cleverly using your resources and by shipping goods and passengers. Solve problems your own way, either through diplomacy, violence or bribery.”
“A puzzle adventure about friendship and cooperation. Join Bulder the rock and Stella the star on a wonderful journey through an ancient, lush underground world filled with riddles and mysteries.”
I usually wait until there’s a bit more gameplay to show before making a full post, but I just found Pode to be super charming. It’s still very early in development and looks like a very promising co-op game (that can also be played by one person switching characters). The development team previously made Flem, which you can check out below.
“An unforgiving retro-platformer where you play as Flem, the bouncing booger ball, stranded in a strange new world after the calamity of the Great Sneeze.”
