“A 3D action adventure game, in which your actions have a direct impact on the environment and the creatures. The world revolves around a colorful liquid, the Color, that acts as both the life and power source for the creatures of Quur and yourself.

“By using Color, you can either fight your way through the world, and watch how you’re slowly destroying it, or try to understand how the creatures behave, and embrace Quur’s ecosystem.”

Stone Story

developed by standardcombo  |  Platforms: Windows, Mac, Linux

“An RPG set in a dark and vile world.”

“One of the game’s defining mechanics is that you have no direct control of the player character. You choose what items to equip, which location to visit and chill out while an artificial intelligence does all the exploring, combat and looting. That doesn’t mean this is an idle game. Potions and special abilities are maximized by good timing.

“Boss fights are intense and can keep you at the edge of your seat, requiring quick item swaps if the boss changes patterns. Additionally, an expansive item crafting system allows you to combine otherwise disposable items–rewarding experimentation, giving you interesting choices and making full use of all the gathered loot.”

“A pacifistic exploration art game.”

“The player slips into the role of a mighty forest god to restore the harmony in a mesmerizing forest and relieve it of a mysterious infestation. This shuddersome, mothlike infestation is drawn to the conflicts of the forest’s inhabitants.

“Through observation and by using the abilities of nurturing and withering fascinating plants, the player can solve said conflicts. NIVA’s scenic art style, relaxing music and simple but intriguing game mechanics invite you to explore the forest and have a rest from the stressful everyday life.”

El Hijo

developed by Honig Studios  |  Platforms: Windows, iOS

“A spaghetti western, indie stealth game.  You guide 6-year old boy El Hijo on his quest to find his father, by escaping a monastery, fighting his way through the desert and avoiding monstrous creatures, and outsmarting horrible gangsters in the saloon of a villain town.”

This is still really early in development so not too much to show yet, I love the animated title though.

Lost Words

developed by Fourth State  |  Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, iOS, Android

“A 2D exploration game that takes place between the pages of a girl’s diary and a rich imaginary fantasy land. It sees the player interacting with many different words to solve puzzles and piece together pages of a torn story. The game focuses on a strong narrative (written by Rhianna Pratchett) and ties the story into the gameplay in a unique way, by having the player stand on and interact with the diary words themselves.”
