A mini scooter time attack game.  It was made for A Game By Its Cover, which is a game jam that challenges developers to make a game based off of Famicase cover art (fictional Famicom games).  You can see the rest of the entries here.

“A game about capturing fleeting memories before they fade. You’ll wander through an ephemeral and uncanny landscape, flashback of moments I gathered on sketchbooks over the years.

“Drift aimlessly across time & space, enjoy the quiet while it lasts as life will soon resume its course.”

“An action game with fantasy art style, something like combining Final Fantasy with Ninja Gaiden.”

It’s been under construction in the Unreal engine for around two years after the developer was inspired by the Final Fantasy XV trailer.  The trailer for Lost Soul Aside is a bit long but worth a watch (more cool stuff).  You can follow the progress over on Twitter.

“A mystery and exploration RPG coming to PC and Mac. The game features traditional turn based combat, with a little bit of spice, but will primarily focus on the story and how you change it. This will be done through the ESSENCE SYSTEM, which will track a player’s personality and morality. After a glitch appears in the world of SOREN, our unexpected hero, Gus, will become aware of you- the player. Experience fourth wall breaking shenanigans while making decisions that will shape this world.”

Animated concept art for an unannounced game

being developed by Little Wolf Studio

I’m a big fan of concept art and as you know I also really like gifs, so the combination of the two is right up my alley.  The devs made the gifs meaning I got a day off to go to the beach (wee!).  Unfortunately there’s not too much information on what the game is yet, but I thought the pretties were enough to share by themselves.  You can visit the website here for more info, or follow the studio on Twitter to keep updated on the progress and to listen out for the official announcement.

Somehow I forgot to add the gifs for Sofus. >.<  Sorry!  Fixed now.

An interactive book that just released on iOS.  I think the art is great and I also like merging of mediums. =)

“An adventurous tale of friendship and crazy robots. Explore the magical forest planet together with Sofus, the little gnorf.

“Build a spaceship and help Sofus on his dangerous journey to the Moonmachine. Escape the prison of the robot king and survive the Rusty Sea. Find your way through the pipe labyrinth together with the one-wheeled robot Zum-Zum. Repair the heart of the Moonmachine so daylight will shine once more.”

[gfycat data_id="WebbedCloudyGoldfinch"][gfycat data_id="WatchfulIllegalFieldmouse"][gfycat data_id="OilyLividGallowaycow"]

“A sci-fi themed Action Roguelike. Played as a top-down shooter, you must fight your way through a randomly generated hostile world, all the while trying to locate your emergency distress beacon and escape the planet into which your ship has crashed.

“While you’re making your way through these areas you’ll not only find weapons and items to help you; You’ll also be collecting DNA from the enemies you defeat. Then, when you inevitably die, you’re given the opportunity to combine the DNA you’ve collected to your own, granting you different stats and potentially gameplay-altering physical mutations for your next run.”

“You step out of the confined pod, disorientated and blinking. As your vision clears, a desolate view forms to greet you. The burning wreckage of your ship – your home – lies scattered cruelly across the surface of an alien landscape.

“You must have come down hard. Picking your way through the remains of the ship, you look for answers, a weapon, a radio. Instead, you find a body. Your body.”

Thought the additional art and soundtrack were pretty great.  Have a gander. :)
