Home is Where One Starts

by David Wehle.

A first person exploration game similar to Gone Home or Dear Esther, but being made with Oculus Rift support in mind.

“I remember just waiting at the end of my driveway… waiting for the school bus I had already missed. I guess I just didn’t want to go back inside that trailer. At that age I didn’t know what home was, but it didn’t matter… it found me that morning.”

Nub’s Adventure

by IMakeGames.

A 2D pixel art platformer with a focus on exploration.  Help Nub’s rebuild his house with the help of his friends, a wisp and a giant worm with teeth (who as far as I’ve seen doesn’t look that friendly).  It’s in development for PC and mobile, and you can already play an early access version on Android.

The wisp reminds me a bit of Navi from Zelda, but hopefully won’t be as annoying.  Speaking of…

HEY!  If you like pixel art, I’ve collected all the pixel posts in one place.

A Quiver of Crows

I’ve been following Daniel Mackey for a little while and I’m a big fan of his Pokemon series.  Every now and then I get art commissioned for games I post on my blog, and the colours of the Pokemon series reminded me of A Quiver of Crows, so I thought it would be a good fit (plus getting to sort of collaborate with an artist you admire is pretty cool too).

You can see what the game looks like below, but be sure to check out the original post as the one image doesn’t really encapsulate the whole feel, and if I post more than one I might get carried away.

A Quiver of Crows was recently Greenlit, and you can see it on steam here.

Daniel Mackey was great to work with, and you can visit him on Tumblr here.
