Survivor Squad: Gauntlets

developed by Endless Loop Studios.

A squad management action and strategy game.  You control your squad member’s line of sight, and whhen in the dark can only see in the cone where they are looking.  Work your way through various traps to get to the extraction zone while fighting off the infected.

There’s also a robust level editor that allows you to build your own scenarios and share them with the community.

Currently in Steam Early Access, with a bunch of positive reviews.

Kieru

developed by Pine Fire Studios.

Monochromatic (blood doesn’t count!) multiplayer ninja stealth game.  Two teams (one black, one white) stalk each other in between light and shadow.  Black ninjas are invisible in the shadow, and white ninjas are invisible in the light.

It’s still in development, and the developers are toying with the idea of a day/night cycle, which (with the shifting angle of light) would keep the maps dynamic and discourage camping.

A lot of it was inspired by this episode of Samurai Jack.

Key of Ethios

developed by Keith Farnsworth.

“A 3D action-adventure game in the vein of modern Zelda titles. In it you play as a party of heroes, each with their own unique abilities that allow them to traverse the world and overcome a wide array of obstacles and enemies.”

Being developed in Unity3D by a one man development team.

So many flashies in one place!  Far from perfect, but still pretty cool I think. The brain smiles. O.o  Except for those three I don’t have GIFs for. :(

Just to reiterate, this is an indie game blog, yesterday’s Bloodborne post was just an April 1st thing.  Though, it was pretty fun, so maybe I’ll do special things like that every now and then, depending on feedback.

The collage is missing an illustration that was done for Quiver of Crows.

Bloodborne

developed by From Software.

“Long ago, Old Yharnam was overrun by the Plague of Beasts and left to rot in decay.”

“Our thirst for blood satiates us, soothes our fears, but beware the frailty of men. The blood makes us human, makes us more than human, makes us human no more.”

Hopefully things are in sync for everyone, if not try reloading, or if you’re on the tumblr dash try loading the full post (the reason for the separate gifs is to get around the tumblr gif size limit).

I usually limit the post file size, but well…got a bit carried away. >.<

The GIFs were pretty fun to make, hope you like it.  Happy hunting.
