“A revolutionary new strategy-shooter that will test your wits as well as exercise your aim. Can you lead the misfit prisoners of the Void Ark through the derelict spaceships and myriad dangers of the Sargasso Nebula?”
“A journey into a wild science fiction landscape, filled with danger and beauty: you must survive terrible hazards, navigate through impossible spaces, and fight an ongoing battle to control this haunted, blighted world. You will make use of a range of powerful tools to overcome your enemies and uncover secrets: hack robots to battle alongside you, equip powerful weapons, and detonate savage defence systems.”
“A casual and competitive arena FPS with a unique gameplay concept and “parkour” based movement system.
“The unique concept is based on sound; Any time a player emits a sound (this includes landing from a jump, shooting weapons and taking damage) they become briefly visible to all players throughout the level, through all walls.
“This means that players must utilize the advanced movement mechanics of the game if they wish to remain silent and do not want to give away their position.”
“FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It’s just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.”
“An infantry based first person shooter with an emphasis on raw skill. No grinding, no ‘exosuits’, just you and your skill as a player.”
It might be nostalgia but I think I miss this type of old school shooter. I’ve been longing for the WW2 theme, but going full throwback to a time without kill streaks or vehicles sounds pretty interesting. It is multiplayer only however (which is fine by me). It’s already shot past its Kickstarter goal with over 3 weeks to go, you can check it out below.
A time and score attack parkour FPS. Still in very early development for PC. No website up yet but you can follow the progress on the dev’s twitter.
Sorry for the fuzziness of the gifs. :( The game updates and improves quite regularly so I’ll definitely post about it again, and I’ll make sure the gifs are crisp and sharp then.
“A cyber espionage themed stealth FPS that lets you play it how you want: whether creeping along corridors undetected or bursting into rooms to blow away all adversaries. Cyber terrorism is a dangerous profession, and risks have real consequences. Damage sustained cannot be recovered, the slightest mistake will jeopardize your chances to reach the next level.”
ROOT just came out on steam a couple days ago, check it out!
“An open world, sci-fi survival horror FPS with RPG elements in development for Windows PC.”
“Play as a Sleeper, awoken from cryosleep in Eden, a fallen utopia wrought with death and danger. Meet PAMELA, an omnipresent AI overseer who is left alone watching over the once-vibrant city, now reduced to a silent monolith gliding across the ocean. She will fight by your side as you struggle against Eden’s tortured citizens.
“Uncover the tragic events that lead to the downfall of a civilization, and fight for your life as the broken citizens of Eden defend their home against your intrusion. With a personality-driven AI system, no encounter will be the same as the Afflicted react in unpredictable ways, driven by their excruciating pain and disfiguring disease.”
[gfycat data_id="ImprobableDeliciousCaimanlizard"][gfycat data_id="WarmCrispDrever"][gfycat data_id="ImaginativeDetailedAmericanmarten"] “A co-op gun building FPS that lets you stack gun parts to modify your weapon. Gun parts in Stack Gun Heroes routinely do things like multiply damage by 200%, or call down orbital strikes, or spew turrets instead of bullets. All effects chain together, and the more convoluted your weapon the stronger it is. Stack enough parts, and your gun becomes a cataclysmic Rube Goldberg superweapon.”
Saw this on Reddit and it just sounded so awesomely crazy:
“You can stack 8 mods high, but some mods split into multiple barrels each of which can be stacked independently. In all, we’re talking hundreds of effects on a single gun if you’re into that sort of thing. And even cooler, the order matters too. This means that an Orbital Strike + Turret will call down a turret from orbit, but a Turret + Orbital Strike will make your gun launch turrets that call down orbital strikes on their own.”
A class based multiplayer FPS in development for PC, Mac, and Linux. It’s currenlty on Steam Early Access with mostly positive reviews, though at the moment seems to be suffering from low server population. It’s being developed in Unreal Engine 4.
