Amber Throne – a turn based RPG with a painted art style. Control Arra as she tries to finish her father’s work by destroying the Amber Throne. The developer only has a twitter account, nag them to make a proper website please. :)

Super Daryl Deluxe by Dan & Gary Games – a 2D action RPG where you play as new student Daryl who must overcome the evil faculty members (naturally) and save the world. I really like the music in the seizure inducing trailer.
Nomad Fleet by Jorge Pacheco – a procedurally generated RTS. Jump from sector to sector harvesting resources, fighting enemies, and trading. Inspired by Homeworld and FTL, which sounds like a good combo. =) If you’re in to Homeworld inspired games, also check out Shallow Space.
Powder by Buck Lumber Games – a mobile top down skiing game with a focus on flow. Brings back good memories of SkiFree. I wonder if the abominable snowman is lurking off screen…
[iTunes]
Super Galaxy Squadron by Nick Clinkscales – a retro inspired shmup with a fine collection of various weapons to explode things with. It looks really great travelling at 60fps. All proceeds from the final game are to go to Child’s Play.
Elsinore by Golden Glitch – a tragic time travelling adventure game set in Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
“To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether ‘tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover’d country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.–Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember’d!”
Crossing the Line by Zomboko Entertainment – an absolutely stunning first person thriller where you must investigate the unsolved case of the death of your wife. Sounds a bit cliche on the surface, though you are able to interact with the shadow world (wraiths, souls etc.), which could add a twist to the story.
GIF’s really struggle to capture the game (and colours) in motion, the visuals in the trailer are tip top, though let’s hope the voice acting is placeholder.

Chester United by Brilliant Blue G
Celebrating one month and 100 followers. :)
It’s actually been longer than a month, but sssshhh! I wanted to introduce something a little new going forward, so I got in contact with jdpalmerart (who does concept art/sketches) to see if I could commission some art for one of the games on my blog.
I decided to do Chester, since I’m addicted to gifs and I liked the whimsical nature of it. It was a bit hard to see Chester in the gifs, so we did a little digging and found an older image.
J.D. used that along with the in game character portrait to do awesome things, see below! I’d like to try to do more “fan art" of the games on my blog, but I’m not sure at what frequency (monthly/weekly etc.). I guess it would depend on how interested people are in seeing more. What do you think?
Cogmind by Grid Sage Games – a sci-fi roguelike with beautiful ASCII art, something I didn’t think was possible. Play as a robot that attaches the body parts… err.. components of other salvaged machines to itself. Build yourself into an assassin bot, tank bot, hedonism bot (OK, maybe not the last one); explore and destroy your enemies.

A Quiver of Crows by Sheado.net – a twin stick co-op shmup that features death dealing crows (like, the bird) instead of the regular sci-fi themed space ships.
