Postcards from…

I finally finished my collection of cinemagraphs for Journey.  Basically I made little postcard-like entries, except the pictures move a bit.  It took a long time to do and wrangling Journey’s camera to stay still was quite the experience!  I’d like to do the same thing with either The Witness, or Firewatch next.

If you’ve never played Journey I’d suggest you wait to look at the collection.  While it’s only environmental stuff, it contains all of them, and discovering the new areas added a lot to the experience for me.

Take a look below at the full collection, I hope you guys like it. :)

The full collection is here  (best viewed on a desktop PC).

Cresting the first hill on my adventure.

I came across an old ruined bridge on the way to the mountain.  I wonder who built it?

Resting on a small crest before continuing; snack time!

I found an Ancient Glyph hiding under a secluded overhang.  I wonder if they’re any more of these scattered throughout the land.

Pausing to admire the simple construction of a beautiful shrine.  The light of the mountain calls to me.

An absolutely stunning sunset.  While the strange carpet creatures urge me forwards, I’m taking a break here to enjoy the view.

After one of the most exhilarating parts of my Journey so far, I’m greeted by the vivid orange of setting sun’s last light.  I hope this won’t be the last I see of it.

I found a strange creature in an amazing temple and had the distinct impression that it would have eaten me if it was any larger.

First snow!  I don’t think my introduction could have been more abrupt.  It’s absolutely everywhere; and freezing.

It looks like a storm is coming.  I need to find shelter, but I also need to keep moving forward.

Each step forward is harder than the last.  I’m not sure how much longer I can continue.
