Some of the best pixel art indie games that I have curated or ones that just hit you right in the nostalgia with their retro feel.

Mists of Noyah

“A co-op survival game with randomly generated worlds and many RPG elements.  In Mists of Noyah, you start in an abandoned fort that has been attacked and destroyed by corruption, and you’ll have to explore the world to find the inhabitants who have managed to escape the attack, to rebuild the fort and return to war!

“During the day, you’ll have to collect resources such as wood, iron, gold, special ores, plants, food, and search for lost inhabitants of the ancient fort!  During the night, you’ll have to build defensive gates, regroup with the found inhabitants and protect yourself.  Every full moon, the demons lash out at your fort and get stronger with each attack.”

WORLD OF HORROR

“The Old Gods are reawakening, clawing their way back into a world that’s spiraling into a mysterious madness.  In a small, seaside town of Japan, the population’s sanity is dwindling and otherworldly, grotesque creatures terrorize those who call the place home.  In WORLD OF HORROR, it’s the end of the world and the only solution is to confront the terror reigning over the apocalypse.

“Navigate this hellish, roguelite reality through turn-based combat and unforgiving choices in this cosmic horror RPG.  Experiment with the events of a playthrough by building a deck of event cards to discover different outcomes for your battles against the darkness.  Different decks may even unlock new mysteries or clues.”

“In the region of Velua where Humans and Coromon live in harmony, a shady organization is on the verge of releasing a dark power upon the world.  Will they succeed in their evil plans, or can they still be stopped?  Step into the role of a young hero joining the technologically advanced organisation of Lux Solis.  Gather your favorite Coromon to create a powerful squad.  Together with your Coromon, you’ll have to train, fight and puzzle your way through an adventure-filled world!”

LAZR – A Clothformer

“A skill-based, physics-enhanced cyberpunk platformer whose gameplay is emphasized sharply by its dynamic cloth simulations.  The setting draws inspiration from such sources as Akira, Judge Dredd, Ghost in the Shell, and Bladerunner.  You play as LAZR, a fusion-powered killer android, who finds themselves in a new, dangerous future metropolis called Alpha City One. “

Evan’s Remains

“A mystery-thriller puzzle adventure about finding a missing boy: Evan.  The game combines logic-based platform puzzles with narrative inspired by Japanese graphic adventure games.

“Evan, the genius boy, has been missing for years.  One day, a letter signed by him is received, claiming he’s on an uninhabited island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.  Nobody knows why, but he asked specifically for a girl named “Dysis” to go and look for him.  The player will take control of this girl, who we don’t know much about.  As we follow Dysis’s adventure, questions will start to be answered little by little.  All of the little puzzle pieces which seemed unrelated in the beginning will now begin to slowly fit together as the truth is slowly revealed.”
