Some of the best pixel art indie games that I have curated or ones that just hit you right in the nostalgia with their retro feel.

Yuppie Psycho

developed by Baroque Decay  |  published by Another Indie

“Join Brian Pasternack on his first day at one of the world’s largest companies, Sintracorp. Uncertain, unprepared, and massively unqualified, will Pasternack have what it takes to shine in Sintracorp’s hierarchy? It all depends on how he performs on his first assignment… and whether he survives it.”

Letters

developed by 5am Games

“A single-player puzzle adventure about the life of Sarah, told through the letters she sends to her pen pal.  The letters themselves form the game world you navigate through.  You’ll encounter numerous drawings blocking the way.  To get past them, pick up and change words from the text by removing single letters and use these newly created words to interact with the game world.

“Choosing the right words can be tricky.  Talk to the drawings and read between the lines to find the correct solution.  Your decisions will change the course of the story.”

“An action-adventure RPG that features unique character customization, fast paced position based combat, extensive skill system, and an expansive world filled with secrets, dungeons, and temples to explore.

“Set in a world ruined by an arcane apocalypse as humanity faces it’s final days; an unforetold hero seeks to uncover the mysteries of the past, delving into forlorn temples built to honor eldritch gods.”

A Spoonful of Pixel Art

  • Chained EchoesA 16-bit SNES style RPG set in a fantasy world with dragons and mechanical suits.
  • InmostA story-driven puzzle platformer following three characters in a dark, interconnecting story.
  • BackboneA private detective adventure with stealth and action elements.
  • Summer CatchersA road trip adventure arcade game about a northern girl and her epic journey.

I really like the pixel art in these four so thought I would make a little collection to showcase of them. This gif was quite fun to make so I might do this type of collage every now and then.
