“A first person speedrunner from hell. You race over platforms and shoot fireballs to reach an exit portal in the least amount of time. Game is inspired by Quake and Super Meat Boy. It’s hardcore and focuses on speed and fast reaction”

For some reason this just seems so refreshing.  Come back to me childhood. >.<

Dream Chaser Changes into Whishmere

I originally put these gifs together for a game called Dream Chaser which was an action runner featuring special characters with superpowers.  However, the developers (Crayder Studios) have decided to change the direction of the game, and are now making Wishmere, which is a 4 player local co-op beat ‘em up (with time attack elements).

While that sounds great, I thought these scenes from Dream Chaser were really cool (and I had spent the time trying to Tumblerize them already >.<), so thought I would still share.

Dream Chaser also has/had a nice soundtrack, you can listen to a part of it on Soundcloud here.

You can follow the development of Wishmere on the TIGForums.

Untitled, developed by Studio Thunderhorse with art by Johan Aronson.

An endless mobile runner for iOS.  It’s only been in development for a week, but the art already looks pretty stunning.  Being made by the same team that is creating Laser Fury (co-op action RPG), which also has great pixel art (see below).

Not sure if the timing on the split GIF will be correct for everyone.  I banged my head on my desk for far too long trying different ways to get it to play nice. >.<

The Long Path (working title) by Luke Roberts.

A runner with puzzle and platformer elements.  Running is done automatically while the player controls the rotation of the world as well as jumping (ducking etc).  The levels are put together right before your eyes as you run, which is a really cool looking effect.

Tumblr GIF limits don’t do the smooth motion justice.  You can see better gfycats here and here.

The game is still in very early development, art was added a week ago and the style changed a bit yesterday.  The two smaller gifs have the old style art.  Should be pretty exciting to see how it ends up.
