Röki

“An adventure game inspired by Scandinavian folklore – a dark contemporary fairy tale underpinned by a touching narrative, an alluring art style, ancient puzzles and atmospheric exploration.

“Join Tove on a fantastical journey to save her family; one that takes her deep into a hidden, long forgotten world of folklore, filled with strange locations and even stranger creatures. Explore the ancient wilderness, solve its mysteries, and save your family in this modern adventure game for all.”

Forgotten Fields

“A warm, cozy game about nostalgia, creativity, appreciating the present, and the passage of time – a meditation on impermanence and the shortness of life.

Sid is a fiction author struggling with a creative block, attempting to recapture the feelings of inspiration he felt when he was younger.  Join Sid as he reluctantly journeys back home, meets old friends, relives memories and attempts to kick start his creativity back into gear.  Also take part in his creative process as you play through interactive sections depicting the story he’s attempting to write.”

Little Devil inside

“A truly engaging 3D action adventure RPG game where you are thrown into a surreal but somewhat familiar setting with humans, creatures and monsters to interact with, learn and hunt – journey, survive and discover the world that exists beyond.

“This game is not just about killing arch-demons and saving the world.  Take in the atmosphere and live a realistic life in an unrealistic world.  This is a game that tells stories about people with ‘unusual’ jobs such as hunting monsters and what happens in their everyday life doing so.”

Red Sails

“Sand swallows everything: houses, resources to survive, people, and the bonds between them.  Explore the desert aboard your sailboat, rescue stranded people on your way, bring them home, while looking for other members of your waning clan: the Red Sails.

“Learn to master your ship and dominate the wind while experiencing fresh semi-realistic sailing gameplay.  Feel the nervousness of speeding through the dunes.”

Townscaper

“Build quaint island towns with curvy streets.  Build small hamlets, soaring cathedrals, canal networks, or sky cities on stilts.  Block by block.  No goal.  No real gameplay.  Just plenty of building and plenty of beauty.  That’s it.

“Townscaper is an experimental passion project.  More of a toy than a game.  Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of house on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper’s underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.”

I received a Steam key from the developer and although purely creative things aren’t my jam it is really easy to build something that looks beautiful.  With the right imagination you can definitely put together quite a spectacular town, or you can be like me and see just how high buildings go. 🙈

I would love this to be fully fleshed out and rolled into something with more traditional gameplay, which miiiight be a possibility in the future? :)
