“A single player 3D third-person adventure game built in Unreal Engine where you play as the dog Kato.
“Your hometown has been through a great tragedy and your owner feels sad to see her home break apart. Kato sets out to make the village into a better place by barking, digging, sprinting and using objects in the surroundings to spread happiness!”
“A love letter to the ocean. Dive into the beautiful underwater world as a sea current. Solve puzzles to bring back to life coral reefs and spread the beauty of the oceans in different sea ecosystems.”
“The game was developed on a sailship in a pristine marine reserve in Northern Catalonia called Cap De Creus.”
I’m not sure if anyone following me has realized that I have a bit of an ocean obsession >.< Koral has done such a great job with the visuals it was difficult to cut the footage to an appropriate length. Look out for a making of video by the developer that talks about the inspiration for the game and goes over some of the development process during the boat trip. It releases the same day as the game but I got to take an early peek at it and it was quite interesting. :-)
A 2-4 local multiplayer game where you are a balloon expelling air in order to force your opponents into the spikes on the wall. There are six different characters (including an octopus!) that you can choose from to look cute while you blow up your friends. After you die you can still fly around and shove the person you love the most into the spikes. :)
“Explore a surprisingly spacious inner-city apartment filled with far too many pet birds doing their own silly things. Take photos and share them with your internet friends to spread the love around.”
“Welcome to Parkitect, where you build and manage the theme parks of your dreams. Construct your own coasters, design an efficiently operating park that fully immerses your guests in its theming and play through the campaign.”
A dynamic physics platformer set in an increasingly collapsing world. Control a weirdly cute squishy ball as you roll, bounce, and swing with your tongue in order to avoid falling into the abyss.
“A minimalist strategy game about building cities on colorful islands. Explore an infinite number of ever-changing new lands, expand your settlements from sprawling villages to vast cities and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.”
“A cooperative multiplayer game where you have to work together with your friends to build a railway track across endless procedurally generated worlds. Master random encounters with its inhabitants, upgrade your train and keep it from derailing!”
I thought this was quite intriguing and it reminded me a bit of Overcooked just with locomotives. The regular speed gameplay looks a bit peaceful but reading some stuff by people who played it at PAX East it does seem to invoke a similar kind of stress from all the things you have to manage including clearing land, gathering materials, building the rails, and making sure your train doesn’t catch on fire.
A super cute SNES platformer where you control an octopus (humoctopus?) and have to collect coins and fish in each level. The fish are in the possession of what appear to be some innocent kittens until they fly down in their spaceship and start shooting. 😱
The developer loved the Super Famicom growing up and in 2015 decided to learn how to program for one, and so here we are with a brand new SNES game. There isn’t a release date announced yet but the game is nearing completion with just the box art and ending to finish.
“Hike, climb, and soar through the peaceful mountainside landscapes of Hawk Peak Provincial Park. Follow the marked trails or explore the backcountry as you make your way to the summit. Along the way, meet other hikers, discover hidden treasures, and take in the world around you.”
This comes out as part of Humble monthly tomorrow, but will release on Steam and itch.io in the summer. :-)
