This is still really early in development and currently doesn’t have a website or blog to follow. The developer does make regular updates to Twitter though, and usually makes a pretty cool gif to show off any newly added mechanics.

“You play the part of a shape-shifting girl who can take the form of the beasts that she slays, but whose power is slowly destroying the world she is trying to save. Explore the world to find the source of the darkness before the forest dies. Will you banish the darkness from the world, or will you become it?”

This has been on my radar since it started as a game jam entry way back when. Cool to see it keep progressing into a fully fledged game, hope it continues!

The First Tree

“A third-person exploration game centered around two parallel stories: a fox trying to find her missing family, and a young couple dealing with a death in theirs. Players take control of the fox on a poignant and beautiful journey that crescendos at the source of life, and perhaps results in the understanding of death. Along the way, players can uncover artifacts and stories from the young couple’s life as they too become intertwined in the fox’s journey towards The First Tree.”

The game is story driven in the same vein as Firewatch and Gone Home. This is still really early in development with a scheduled release sometime in 2017. Figured I would make a mini post today. The developer previously made Home is Where One Starts.

Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged EEV and safely return home.”

Out on Steam today. They’ve talked about entertaining the idea of including a mode where you can hang around in space and just chill. That would be really cool, I’d looove to make some space cinemagraphs.

A post apocalyptic point and click adventure game about a woman searching for the cure to the deadly plague she’s been infected with.

“The world ended on the day the bombs fell. Since then, it’s always been like this: disease, hunger, death. The ruling Aristocrats — a faceless oligarchy that controls all resources — have unchallenged authority. There’s never enough food, water, or vaccine to go around. The rich receive regular doses of vaccinations in exchange for their unconditional government support. The poor live in fear, superstition, and squalor until they die.

“Amy Wellard, a young woman reluctantly working for the government to qualify for the vaccine lottery, believes there’s a cure — and she’s going to find it. Even if it costs her her life.”

“A hyper fast, sci-fi action game that has its own twists on the twitchy shoot em up game genres.

“Nelo Lets you play as a race of aliens who are at war against their A.I. Creations, the Nightsithe. Your Character combats the Nightsithe using four floating mechanical hands that will let you wield four different guns at once, grab and throw enemies and physics objects, and can be used for ranged melee attacks. The gameplay and movement is very fast and chaotic, allowing the player to seamlessly switch between a third person mode and a top-down twinstick shooter mode.”

Being developed by just two people in Unreal Engine 4. Today is the last day for its Kickstarter, but it has surpassed its goal quite nicely. :)

Gothic old school hack-and-slash, with an emphasis on death. Releases today for PC and coming out for PS4, Vita, Wii U, and Xbox One within a few months.
