“A multiplayer flight racing game in which players build and pilot an Airskiff – the equivalent of a hang glider augmented with rocket engines. Players will compete in short and brutal online races against other pilots and their creations. Once pilots barrel through the track, they are thrown back into the garage area, where players can change their strategy for the next race by swapping out parts on their Airskiff.”

Tsioque

developed by OhNoo Studio

torque2torque ice2

torque4torque1

“An animated adventure game inspired by classic 80s and 90s point and click titles. Craftily mixing influences of games like Day of the Tentacle, Dragon’s Lair or Humongous Games’ Pajama Sam, it offers its own, original narrative experience, which can be described as both dark and adorable.

“We take the role of a young princess Tsioque, imprisoned in a castle ruled by the Evil Wizard. At first glance, with her blond hair and big blue eyes, she may seem like your typical princess, but she’s anything but typical. She doesn’t wait for Prince Charming to rescue her – she rescues herself, using her wits, stubbornness, and an unusual talent for bringing unintended chaos and destruction wherever she goes.”

“A turn-based dungeon crawler with a twist: instead of controlling the hero you build the dungeon around him. Using cards drawn from your Guild decks, you lay down rooms, monsters, traps and of course loot! Meanwhile your hero is making his own decisions on where to go and what to fight.”

This recently released on Steam (I missed it somehow) and was actually one of the first games I posted about when I started my blog 7 months ago.  Pretty cool to see it out now.  :)  Original post is here.

The Whisperer in Darkness

developed by Nathaniel Nelson, art by Quincy Bowen, music by Mark Sparling

whisperer water whisper house whispere roadwhisperer outside whisperer freak whisperer car

An interactive horror story which is a retelling of  The Whisperer in Darkness, a short story by H.P. Lovecraft.  There isn’t much in the way of gameplay, and it’s more of an atmospheric way to experience a horror novel (with really nice art, and music).

It was made for the Public Game Jam in 2014, and all the assets are open source and free to use.  You can download them, as well as the game from itch.io.  It’s available for PC, and is currently being rewritten for Mac and Linux.

Shark Lake Fisherman

developed by Fabian Jarrett

[gfycat data_id="BabyishHairyArgentinehornedfrog"]

“Get points for each fish that you catch.

The more fish you catch, the more sharks that come.

Avoid the sharks to stay alive.”

I’m keeping it a little quiet today, trying to make something special for next week. :)  (plus work is killing me and I have no broadband internet).

You can download and play Shark Lake from the link below to pass the time!

Geoball

Unknown Developer

[gfycat data_id="FirsthandLankyIrishsetter"]geoball sungeoball pink[gfycat data_id="ImpishGenuineBengaltiger"]geoball volcano[gfycat data_id="PastelNaughtyBittern"]

“A modern take on classic 3D platformers like Marble Blast. Roll and jump your way through unique hazards and mechanics to collect all the golden triangles and silver hexagons.”

There are 40 different levels, each with a different style and music, and a variety of different types of slick looking balls to unlock.

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get into contact with the developer to properly credit him/her (it’s been a month), but you can keep track of the development through the website here.
