Death’s Gambit

by White Rabbit (Jean Canellas & Alex Kubodera)

A 2D action RPG with gameplay inspired by Demon’s Souls, and huge boss encounters like those in Shadow of the Colossus.  "Become the agent of death, and rid this world of immortals.“

I don’t usually reblog, but I saw this on PixelArtus before it popped up at my usual source, and I would pretty much be using the same GIFS (except that duplicated slashing one, gggrrrrr…must…control…OCD).  So, thanks to them. :)

The trailer was recently released, which contains a lot more pretties.  You can keep up to date on Death’s Gambit on their Tumblr.

The poster for Death’s Gambit was done by kaisinelwho has done some other really awesome stuff (another example below).  Definitely take a peek at the art on their blog.

FutureGrind

by Milkbag Games (Matt Rix & Owen Goss).

A grind and trick racer, I guess like OlliOlli in 3D with a Tron light cycle.  Sounds like a good combo. :)  Your “grinder” has two differently coloured wheels, and each wheel can only touch the similarly coloured rail…or bad things will happen.  Surviving is not enough; grind longer, while doing tricks to increase your combo and advance.

Announced today that it’s coming to PS4, as well as PC.  Seems to have a really great soundtrack so far (by bignic), which you can listen to here.

The Long Path (working title) by Luke Roberts.

A runner with puzzle and platformer elements.  Running is done automatically while the player controls the rotation of the world as well as jumping (ducking etc).  The levels are put together right before your eyes as you run, which is a really cool looking effect.

Tumblr GIF limits don’t do the smooth motion justice.  You can see better gfycats here and here.

The game is still in very early development, art was added a week ago and the style changed a bit yesterday.  The two smaller gifs have the old style art.  Should be pretty exciting to see how it ends up.

Painters Guild by AD1337.

Run an academy for artists during the Italian Renaissance.  You take commissions for various types of art that must be completed in a certain time frame.  Try to manage your artists and level up their skills in order to keep expanding your guild.

Currently, in the alpha version, you welcome an unknown young painter called Leanordo da Vinci into your guild.
