“A mix between a visual novel life management sim, and a 2D beat’em all,  with a dose of fantasy luchadores and superhero costumes, entirely hand-drawn and animated.

“The aim is to help Honey, the titular character, balance her life as she needs to juggle between her daytime at university, and her nocturnal fighting persona. She wishes to reach the heights of fame through a fighting tournament, but she has only six month to do so before the tournament is up and her studies take her elsewhere.”

Tikotep Adventure

developed by alwex

A pixel art adventure-platformer in development for PC.  You can see more of the game

in this post by PixelArtus, or in the dev log on the TIGForums.

I’ve wanted to make some loops/cinemagraphs of the water for a while, but I’ve been having trouble doing it.  I had to speed up the gifs due to some framerate problems, so the transition is a bit harsh, and the flow isn’t as nice.  Sorry about that. :(

If you’re interested in how the water works, you can check out this post by the developer which goes through the method/code.

You can also take a look at the method used to make the water in Kingdom (gif below), if you haven’t seen the post I made about it before.

PT hallway made in Unity for PC/Mac/Linux

I’m a HUGE fan of PT.  My heart also hates PT.  I came across a very small demo that recreated the hallway visually and aurally; it’s important to note it’s not the game, but you can walk through the hallway and trigger certain…events…

The animation of the first gif (with Lisa) is not in the demo, but I liked the animation so thought to include it.  If you don’t know what PT is you can take a look at the teaser here.

You can see the process of how the hallway was made here.

A minimalist action-strategy in development for PC (with plans for consoles).  The main mode is multiplayer, though there is a single player challenge mode as well.

“It is played on a grid of black and white tiles where each player is restricted to either side. Players flip tiles towards their color to gain control and close in on the enemy. With every action changing the play space, each round evolves into a unique battle field.”

“A real time space-exploration sim and crew management game.

“Command a fleet of vessels wandering the galaxy for adventure and profit! You’ll be forced to make tough decisions as you face hostile starships, crippling space anomalies, and intriguing aliens. When your fleet faces certain doom, should you direct your crew to make critical repairs, or report to their stations and boost your fleet?”

[Buy on Steam]

The soundtrack is done by chipzel and the OST is really great, take a listen here.  I absolutely love the album art, which was illustrated by Dominic Riozzi.

Glyphs

developed by Legit Games

“Glyphs is a 2D open-world fantasy RPG, following the story of Elias as he travels across a variety of treacherous landscapes on a quest to reforge the enchanted relics known as Glyphs and restore order to the land of Eldamir.

“Legend has it that Eldamir, a now peaceful land was once plagued by evil spirits. When the death toll became overwhelming, the six most powerful Elders sacrificed themselves to create the Glyphs and end the chaos. Centuries later, a series of unforeseen events damage the Glyphs; breaking the enchantment they held over the lands, allowing evil to rise again. It is now up to Elias to repair the Glyphs and cleanse the evil from the land of Eldamir before it’s too late.”

Still in early development for PC, Mac, and Linux.
