“A third person action RPG. The game is mostly focused on combat and exploration, but it will also have huge roleplaying elements. While it is story driven, it doesn’t force you to ride along rails to complete it.

The game gives players freedom to explore a rich world and tackle only the obstacles that they want. This way, each player can visit many diverse places and reach very different endings depending on their choices.”

Whereupon one will have to explore to uncover the reasons for humanity’s downfall meanwhile encountering monstrous sea creatures.

The focus of this game lies in exploration, story and boss battles. It is up to the player to determine if the ruins of our species is a travesty or an inevitable conclusion.”

Currently on Kickstarter with only a few days left to meet its goal.  There’s also a demo which you can download and try out from the link below.

A top down space shooter which you can play in your web browser (if you have the Unity plugin).  The team is currently trying to improve and polish the game in order to get it on to Steam.

“Pilot three different ships with special maneuvers and each with their own fantastic abilities to destroy your enemies. Pillage loot they leave behind to outfit your ship becoming even more powerful. Warp from system to system to take on larger and stronger waves of enemies. Death is the end but the glory from your battle will carry on.”

You Shouldn’t Be Here…

The trailer for Edge of Nowhere came out today, thought this scene made for a cool cinemagraph (no pun intended :p).

It’s a third person adventure being made by Insomniac (Sunset Overdrive, Ratchet and Clank) for the Oculus Rift, though the trailer looks a bit horror-ish.  You can see the trailer here.

Just a heads up, I’ll probably make a few posts from E3 trailers/gameplay if anything cool shows up, like The Last Guardian (IT COULD HAPPEN), or to make gifs like this.  I usually only post non indie games like once a month (Bloodborne, Battlefront), but I’ll make an exception next week since there might be a lot of pretties that I want to make gifs of.

So if you’re not into that kind of thing bear with me for a few days.  :)  There will still be indie games as usual.

Of course I might have to work the entire time, so don’t expect anything.

A 3rd person cyberpunk action RPG.

“Defragmented takes place in the city of Entropolis, a beacon of hope in an otherwise wasted world. Take to the streets, cast under the neon glow of the aerial tramways. Visit the local museums, where the art of hacking and body modification turns patrons into exhibits. If you’re feeling brave enough, venture outside the city and take a educational tour of Entropolis’ many farming domes.”

Local four player arena deathmatch in a pseudo Spaghetti Western world, with a mix of gameplay from Super Smash Brothers and Towerfall.  There are a few different modes such as deathmatch, capture the flag, and a mobile king of the kill.

The developer promises that all DLC will be free, which is such a refreshing change from what seems to be becoming the norm.

A roguelike hack and slash which is really really hard.  So far there are two areas and you can choose from six different characters.   If you like pain you can get the current version of the game from Game Jolt.

“Each level is randomly-generated so each playthrough is unique and will never be the same. As you enter, you must search and activate all the marks placed everywhere which will unlock your way out of the dungeon.”
