A beautiful exploration and adventure game, and yet still in very early development.

“This adventure is about Kay, who has turned into a black monster, and her journey to find out what happened to her.

“On her search to change, she soon finds out that her biggest enemies are not the huge monsters that she meets on her way through the Sea of Solitude, but something way more dangerous.”

A pixel art adventure through the desert in order to complete a pilgrimage to Mount Distant.  I’m still struggling to get halfway there. >.<

“journey into the desert,

discover its secrets,

master your technique,

complete your pilgrimage,

and try not to lose your way,

as so many others have.”

[Download Sandstorm on itch.io]

The developer also recently made REAP, which is a procedurally generated exploration game.  I’ll probably do a separate post on that when I’m not so busy.

Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist

developed by Crows Crows Crows

[gfycat data_id="FakeUnimportantBighorn"][gfycat data_id="CalculatingAccomplishedBluebottlejellyfish"][gfycat data_id="RawSelfassuredBighorn"]

A first person heist game created by the designer of The Stanley Parable.  Really great voice acting which creates the humorous atmosphere and sets the stage for your escapade.  It’s only about twenty minutes long (depending on how much time you spend exploring) and you can download it from Steam or itch.io (pay what you want).

I hate writing and so I don’t do reviews but this was pretty great, definitely recommended.  I don’t want to spoil anything, but the tiger is very important.  It’s in the title.

A colourful and trippy flying experience.

“This is what I like to think happened to him.”
