The color of the levels will change the further you progress through the level and the more myths you uncover. In contrast, shaping of the world is possible through collecting lost fragments. The more fragments you have the more objects are interactive and will react to your presence.”

An exploration and puzzle game that’s been in development for quite some time for PC and PS4.  It’s inspired by Myst, and I love the art style.

This seemed to be hiding for a while, but they’ve finally announced a release date, which will be January 26th, 2016.  Really looking forward to playing and making cinemagraphs of it. :)

The Unfinished Swan

developed by Giant Sparrow

I’ve been meaning to make these for a while, of my play through a couple of months ago.  I thought the game was pretty decent (I think it got over-hyped for me unfortunately, which skewed my expectations), but I really liked the sort of minimalistic art style and thought some of the scenes made for good moving pictures.

For those who don’t know, The Unfinished Swan is a light exploration/puzzle game where you move around in an unfinished world shooting paint to reveal objects and solve puzzles.  You can see more on the Playstation page or check the trailer below.

“A real time space-exploration sim and crew management game.

“Command a fleet of vessels wandering the galaxy for adventure and profit! You’ll be forced to make tough decisions as you face hostile starships, crippling space anomalies, and intriguing aliens. When your fleet faces certain doom, should you direct your crew to make critical repairs, or report to their stations and boost your fleet?”

[Buy on Steam]

The soundtrack is done by chipzel and the OST is really great, take a listen here.  I absolutely love the album art, which was illustrated by Dominic Riozzi.

An exploration game set in a world with 10 seconds left to live.  Due to relativity, each play through lasts 10 minutes.  Based on a Ludum Dare 27 entry, you can watch the trailer here.

“The song of life sounds different to every ear. The tempo unique to every mind.”
