Splish

A puzzle platformer inspired by Splatoon.    It reminds me a lot of the mechanics of Unfinished Swan (probably because I just finished it), which seems like a really neat idea for a platformer.

It’s still early in development for PC, and the art is far from final.  CloudPop Games also made Layers and Drop, which you can see here.

Planet Glitch

I came across Planetarium, a pixel art planet generator on itch.io, and thought it would be really cool to make a post with the rotating pixel art planets of our solar system.  Alas, you can’t make stars or gas planets. :(

I entered some of the easter egg codes, and thought the glitched planet aptly represented my broken dreams for this endeavour.  It also looks kinda neat.

It’s not a game, just a random planet generator with nice music and you can check it out on itch.io.  You can see some of the secret codes in this thread.

A strategy game where you build up a doomed empire while exploring the world and managing the populace by distributing coins.  Coming to PC and mobile.

The game is a sequel to the flash game Kingdom, with improved art and mechanics, and a wider world to explore.  You can play the original in your browser here.

You can take a look at how the water was made here.

“A wise King knows that his kingdom will fall.
A brave King does not despair.
A great King knows that his riches can rule,
But spends every penny with care.”

Contemplating the End

Really liked the relaxing nature of this gif.  Usually I would stop the movement of the clouds, but thought the end of the loop was subtle enough to leave in, as I kind of liked the motion.  Now that I’m staring at it though it’s kind of annoying me. >.<

Taken from the

devlog of ♜ Kingdom ♜, a pixel art strategy game.  Full post goes up this weekend.

developed by

Andrew Buntine using some art assets from Out Run, and pixel art by Melanie Huang.

An old school arcade racing game made in Python.  I think Out Run was my favourite game to play when I went to the arcade, brings back so many memories!   If you have Python installed you can download the game from github.

Also, the developer made an arcade cabinet to go with it, which you can order by contacting the dev

So cool.  O.O
