A roguelike hack and slash which is really really hard.  So far there are two areas and you can choose from six different characters.   If you like pain you can get the current version of the game from Game Jolt.

“Each level is randomly-generated so each playthrough is unique and will never be the same. As you enter, you must search and activate all the marks placed everywhere which will unlock your way out of the dungeon.”

A hardcore action RPG which is still in pretty early development.  It’s being developed by seven second year students, and the dev blog is pretty interesting if you want to take a look.

Also, there’s a skill that gives you Diablo 3 angel wings!  =)

Wait For It…

Making a collection of gifs/cinemagraphs from my play through of Unfinished Swan; this one didn’t quite fit into the static theme so thought I’d just throw it up.

Sorry for the inconsistent framerate, my laptop and I had a wrestling match and I lost. :(

Splish

A puzzle platformer inspired by Splatoon.    It reminds me a lot of the mechanics of Unfinished Swan (probably because I just finished it), which seems like a really neat idea for a platformer.

It’s still early in development for PC, and the art is far from final.  CloudPop Games also made Layers and Drop, which you can see here.

Planet Glitch

I came across Planetarium, a pixel art planet generator on itch.io, and thought it would be really cool to make a post with the rotating pixel art planets of our solar system.  Alas, you can’t make stars or gas planets. :(

I entered some of the easter egg codes, and thought the glitched planet aptly represented my broken dreams for this endeavour.  It also looks kinda neat.

It’s not a game, just a random planet generator with nice music and you can check it out on itch.io.  You can see some of the secret codes in this thread.

A story driven steampunk FPS and adventure game which released on Early Access today.

“You are an Associate of the Inventors Guild dropped on an island in the Atlantic Ocean on a routine maintenance job. As you venture through the island, it becomes clear that there is nothing remotely routine about this mission, as you are pulled into the web of international, as well as metaphysical, conflict. Decipher forbidden history, learn about forgotten tragedy, and in the end, answer the question of all questions: “What is existence?”
